Fortune Telling Versus Divination Fortune Telling is a form of Divination, but true Divination is NOT fortune telling. We might say that Fortune Telling is a parlour trick, whereas the ancient history of true divination holds far more substance. True Divination is a way Telling Forth, or DECLARING an inner truth. Most Psychics practice fortune telling, which is reading tea leaves, tarot cars, and that sort of thing. They "tell your fortune" in what they see in the signs and omens or pieces of cardboard before them. Most often, they tell you what you want to hear. When you cast the DICE for Divination, however, you are working with principles that go beyond the Psychic. You are seeking to set up a direct contact with the Divine... this is Divine-ation or Divination. What you are asking for is that Spirit or Divine Essence comes down into the Dice, and give you an answer to your question. And the Answers of true Divination are often cryptic and need interpretation. The Most Famous Oracle for Divination in the Ancient World was the Delphic Oracle. It was also famous for double edged answers that could cause as much confusion as they might clarity. There is a reason for the "oracular" nature of Divination being somewhat subjective. By seeking to find the answer within the answer, you often discover a deeper and better question to ask. Indeed, all the answers are already within you, and you are using the Dice merely to "wake up" or unfold that part inside you. For the most part, Fortune Telling is a Psychic (or even simply a clever person) using a combination Guesswork, Observation and their understanding of Human nature to give you an answer to your question. True Divination is a process whereby the response to
your question leads you to discover the answer within
